The team at Tusing Builders and Roofing Services have roots that run deep within our community. Many of our members volunteer their time in a variety of ways. From the company perspective, we have engaged in many opportunities to make our community even stronger. Read more below!
The Foundation for Firelands
A couple years ago my wife Jen and I attended the Foundation for Firelands Caddy shack Fundraiser. That evening a young man named Tim Dorsey took to the stage to speak about his journey through Cancer and how Firelands Cancer Center helped him and his then pregnant wife.
We were so touched not only by Tim’s story but the enthusiasm and compassion of the Staff and Committee members of Firelands Cancer Center. In the next year, we attended events when at all possible and made it our priority charity to give to. I told the staff at Firelands “With this being our 20th year in business we wanted to do something BIG! That’s where we came up with 20 Days, 20 reasons why for 20 Grand!”
On June 24th, 2018 we proudly presented the The Foundation for Firelands with a check for $20,150.00!
Red Nose Day
As the big day approaches, people all across America will buy Red Noses at Walgreens and go Nose to Nose to raise awareness and funds to help children in need. Tune into NBC for a special night of prime-time programming celebrating Red Nose Day.
With the purchase of brand new pink t-shirts, we challenged our team to take fun pictures. For every picture taken and shared, Tusing Builders donated money to The Foundations for Firelands Breast Cancer division. As you can see, we really had a great time with this challenge!
Charitable Golf Outings
Because work can’t ALWAYS be about work, Tusing Builders and Roofing Services sponsors several charitable golf outings each year. We love providing our team the opportunity to bond outside of work and for a good cause.
Community Sports
Tusing Builders and Roofing Services is proud to sponsor various sports teams throughout our community. We love getting involved with bringing the community together in great fun!
Huron County Clock Tower – 1819
A well known and recognized landmark of the Huron County community, the clock tower still stands tall and in operation. Several years ago, the clock tower was in trouble. A repairman had discovered numerous problems with the operation of the clock and the surrounding structure. The community, including Tusing Builders & Roofing services pulled together to raise the funds to make the needed repairs.
